ABOUT

Odie Ray is an alt-rock duo from Indiana, founded in 2018 by cousins David Ertel (vocals, keyboards) and Logan Ertel (vocals, guitars). The name honors their grandparents—combining their grandmother’s nickname with their grandfather’s first name. Their debut album, Moonlighter, was released on October 17, 2019.

David (Cleveland, OH) and Logan (Largo, FL) have been writing music together since 2007—mostly from two different states. Their songs have come to life through late-night phone calls and remote home-studio recordings, trading each piece online until the tracks were complete.

Their sound blends tight harmonies, thoughtful arrangements, and lyrics inspired by the classic artists of the ’70s and ’80s, including The Eagles, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, Hall & Oates, The Police, and Foreigner.

Odie Ray’s second album, Living in Limbo, is set to release sometime in 2026.
